Ok so the week so far has been pretty busy, chaotic but calm. Tuesday I woke Brendan up from his nap immediately he had to have his music box on for some tunes. It is a given the music is on if he is up and in his crib. I said “It’s tubby time” he started going crazy bouncing in his crib yes my son loves water so this is how I knew that swim lessons were going to be fun. At any rate Brendan loves to “help” you out by assisting in taking off his pajamas so I start to unzip them and he finishes off the job then throws them out of the crib. Tuesday afternoon we went to Target to get some supplies for our swim lessons: swimmie diapers and swim trunks for Brendan.
I think he had somewhere to be because he loaded up Mater with his most important vacuum cannister to hit the road…..
Wednesday morning we were up and out the door early for us but I forgot to calculate for the school traffic. Ugh this snow, blizzard, from weeks past is still messing things up down here. So we got to class about 3 minutes late but luckily there is only one other mom and son in the class so it wasn’t a big deal. Brendan wasn’t shy about getting in the water at all in fact he was trying to get in before I was ready, lord help me! Our instructor Jeremy was extremely helpful showing us the techniques and was most importantly patient with the kids. In this first session we covered floating, kicking, getting out of the pool, holding your breath, we sang songs and he went all the way under water with no tears. 🙂 I am so proud of my little water baby! You see these lessons are very important since both my family and Devins have places near the water so we wanted Brendan to be safe.
Oh oh and when we got home from our swim lesson we saw the most beautiful site… the bobcat man was back and cleaning up our parking lot. He also removed some snow so I could get into our spot 🙂
tonight Brendan and I were bored so headed to the mall for some shopping and the play area. Unfortunately there weren’t a lot of kids at the play area so Brendan wasn’t really interested in being there. However there was one little girl there who caught his eye and she was smitten with him too. It was cute they were following each other everywhere.
